Poppins

Learning companion for dyslexic children

2018 – France

Launched in 2018 by François Vonthron and Antoine Yuen, and spun out of École Polytechnique, Poppins is a start-up specializing in the development of medical devices for the management of neurodevelopmental disorders, in particular dyslexia, which accounts for 80% of learning disorders.

The Medical Device offers a structured training protocol in the form of a video game comprising 31 written language and rhythm exercises, accessible on tablet or smartphone. The clinical benefit of Poppins has been demonstrated in comparative clinical trials, and represents a breakthrough in care by offering the possibility of considerably intensifying care through its use in the home, in direct response to the sector’s critical needs in terms of frequency and regularity of interventions.
