Juliette Ast

My VC journey began in Mexico City, where I explored artificial intelligence within an early-stage fund, before joining Eurazeo as a VC analyst in Paris. Passionate about transformative technologies, I joined Serena’s Data Ventures team in 2024, following my graduation from HEC Paris and Sciences Po, to explore the intricate layers of infrastructure software, blockchain, and quantum computing stacks.

At Serena, my focus areas include open source, AI data/infra stacks, and verticalized foundation models, working hands-on across the lower layers of the technology stack to support technical founders. I currently serve as Board Observer for PyannoteAI (France), Emmi AI (Austria), and Roofline (Germany), among others, and invest across Europe and beyond.

Beyond investing, I co-founded the Serena Run Club with Alix Trebaol, which brought together more than 500 runners across five countries in 2025, and launched the Git Together meetups, gathering engineers and developers to discuss open source. To deepen my understanding of this space, I also co-authored the Commercial Open Source Software Report with Matthieu Lavergne, based on 25 years of data.

Immersing myself in this vibrant ecosystem, I am constantly inspired by the creativity, boldness, and ambition of the entrepreneurs I encounter. Their relentless pursuit of innovation never fails to astound me as they chart new territories and redefine the boundaries of technology. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from them and to fully support them in their adventures, propelling them forward into an era defined by limitless possibilities.
